Pharmacogenomics Course

This advanced course is a collaborative project between 57357 Healthcare Sciences Academy and Colorado University. Pharmacogenomics and personalized medicine are revolutionizing the practice of pharmacy and medicine.  This interactive, practice-based program will teach health care professionals and students the fundamentals of pharmacogenomics and how to use this information to improve patient care.  The program addresses competencies outlined by the Genetics and Genomics Competency Center (G2C2) and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).  Clinical, case-based scenarios will be covered, including oncology and targeted therapeutics; cardiology; drug-induced hypersensitivity reactions; transplantation; pain, neurology, and psychiatry.

Two cohorts have already graduated from the 57357 HSA  in 2017.
